Well - good and bad on this day.

Good: First time setting up my canopy. YAY! I did pretty good with it by myself, but this Quik Shade definitely takes two people to set up. It's not impossible with one person, but it is very challenging! I'm loving having the shade!!! I purchased the Quik Shade from BiMart online. I chose BiMart after hours of surfing because they had the best deal. I had them deliver it to my local store instead of the house because they do not charge any delivery fees that way! :D yahoo! I checked out several brands and ended up with the Quik Shade Corporate Canopy 10x10 feet because it was as good as the EZ-up for half the cost. I had spent considerable time checking out the other vendors' canopies (quite a wide variety) and helped set up several different brands and liked this one for several reasons. It was white. NEVER get a blue canopy, it washes out your inventory no matter how attractively arranged. The footpad was exactly the same dimensions as the cover. It had a storage bag with wheels. A real boon because that puppy is heavy!! The storage bag has lots of pockets and handles. The canopy can be set to several different heights, but the lowest setting is still high enough to accommodate very tall people. The price was within my budget.

Bad: The floor plan stinks. For months I've been trying to figure out how to draw people IN to the booth only to discover, when I finally get the "right" floorplan, that people avoided my booth. Two reasons: 1) the goods look sparse and 2) people feel like they're obligated to buy something if they have to step IN. There is safety in having the tables around the perimeter and between the salesperson and the browser. However, I did find people had a tendency to cruise BOTH sides of the tables, which I had not set up for. Hmmmmm. New floor plan perking on the old brain. I think I can make a compromise here.
